Thread Summary

In this forum discussion, gManTexas raises the question of the average distance traveled from the starting point to the location of the casque in a treasure hunt scenario. They suggest that once the general area is identified, the distance between the starting point and the casque location is short, making it walkable within a few miles. Merlot Brougham expresses interest in this theory and prompts gManTexas to elaborate. Another user, JoshCornell1, mentions that there are often multiple starting points but gManTexas emphasizes that once the search area is reached, the clues and location are relatively close together. The discussion revolves around the idea that in treasure hunts, the distance between clues and the final location is typically short and walkable rather than requiring transportation.

Has anyone analyzed the average distance traveled from start to casque locations or supposed locations? Is it typically within walking distance or would a train or street car be reasonable to assume? Most seem reasonably short to me, but some of you have been staring at these way longer than I have. Thanks

Merlot Brougham

I do not believe anyone has ever mentioned that before, no. Please explain your theory.

I'm starting to think that once you identify the general area, the distance between start point and casque is short. For example, let's talk about Houston. Assuming that it is in Hermann Park, the distances between clues and landmarks is short. There's maybe less than 2 miles of walking and it is walkable. This is important. This would rule out finding clues many miles apart which would require transportation in between clues. Anyone care to discuss?
